ලංකා ඉතිහාසයේ පළමු වරට ගුවන් බාලදක්ෂ සාමාජිකාවන් සාමාජිකත්වයට ඇතුළත් කෙරේ

ශ්‍රී ලංකාවේ පළමු ගුවන් බාලදක්ෂ සාමාජිකාවෝ

මෙරට ඉතිහාසයේ පළමු වතාවට ගුවන් බාලදක්ෂ සාමාජිකාවන් හට ලාංඡන ප්‍රදානය කිරීමට ශ්‍රී ලංකා ගුවන් හමුදාව කටයුතු කර තිබෙනවා. ඒ පසුගිය දා ගුවන්පුරයේ දී පැවැති, ගුවන් බාලදක්ෂයින්ගේ ස්වර්ණ ජයන්ති සැමරුම් උත්සවයේ දී යි. එහි දී ගුවන් බාලදක්ෂයින් අට දෙනෙකු (08) සහ ඉතිහාසයේ ප්‍රථම වරට බාලදක්ෂිකාවන් අට දෙනෙකුට (08) මෙලෙස සාමාජික ලාංඡන ප්‍රදානය කර තිබුණා. 

මෙම අවස්ථාවට, ගුවන් බාලදක්ෂ සමූහයේ නියෝජ්‍ය සභාපති ගෲප් කැප්ටන් ඊ.එස්.පොන්නම්පෙරුම, ජාතික බාලදක්ෂ මූලස්ථානයේ කොමසාරිස් සහ ගුවන් බාලදක්ෂ සමූහයේ ලේකම් විංග් කමාන්ඩර් එල්.එස්.ආර් පාගොඩ ඇතුළු බාලදක්ෂ පුහුණුකරුවන් සහභාගි වී සිටියා. ශ්‍රී ලංකා ගුවන් හමුදාව ශ්‍රී ලංකාවේ ගුවන් බාලදක්ෂ ක්‍ෂේත්‍රයේ පුරෝගාමියා වන අතර 57 වැනි කොළඹ ගුවන් බාලදක්ෂ බළකායේ පළමු ගුවන් බාලදක්ෂ කණ්ඩායම 1972 දී හිටපු ගුවන් හමුදාපති එයාර් චීෆ් මාර්ෂල් පැඩි මෙන්ඩිස් නිළධාරීතුමන්ගේ මඟපෙන්වීම යටතේ ආරම්භ වී තිබෙනවා.

 

 

 

FIRST EVER GIRL AIR SCOUTS AWARDED WITH MEMBERSHIP BADGE

 

Sri Lanka Air Force is the pioneer of Air Scouting in Sri Lanka and first Air Scout Group of 57th Colombo Air Scout Troop had been established in 1972, by the Sri Lanka Air Force under the direction of the former Commander of the Air Force, Air Chief Marshal Padi Mendis. This year Air Scouts celebrated their Golden Jubilee and eight (08) Girl Air Scouts were awarded Membership Badge for the first time in Air Scout history along with eight (08) Boy Scouts during Badge Awarding ceremony which was held on 06 August 2022 at the Guwanpura Air Scout Training Area. The ceremony was organized under the leadership and guidance of Group Captain JAPS Jayawardena, the Chairman of SLAF Air Scout Group. The event was attended by the Deputy Chairman of SLAF Air Scout Group, Group Captain ES Ponnamperuma, Commissioner of National Scout Headquarters and Secretary of SLAF Air Scout Group, Wing Commander LSR Pagoda along with Scout Masters and parents of the Air Scouts.

The membership badges for newly enlisted Air Scouts were awarded on today at Air Scout Headquarters Sri Lanka Air Force Colombo. Chairman of the Air Scout Group, Group Captain Paminda Jayawardana Secretary of of the Air Scout Group , Group Captain Dr. Rajeev Pagoda Scout leader of the 57th Air Scout Troop Colombo Corporal Sanjeewa and other scout masters with some parents were participated for the Badge Awarding Ceremony. The new team of scouts got the first step in their scout journey on that occasion.
