'157 BP DAY' Competition


Doodle for Google - BP DAY Competition
Google has had many logos since its renaming from BackRub. The current official Google logo was designed by Ruth Kedar , and is a word mark based on the Catull typeface. In 1998, Sergey Brin created a computerized version of the Google letters using the free graphics program GIMP. The first Google Doodle was in honor of the Burning Man Festival of 1998.The doodle was designed by Larry Page and Sergey Brin to notify users of their absence in case the servers crashed.

How to Enter:
1. Use one of the attached templates to create a design for the Google logo. Sample designs are available in internet, but may not be copied.
a. You must use 284×189 pixels (100 x67 mm) canvas
b. You may use pencil, crayons, felt tip or paint, or computer drawing or design software

Aim/Content : BP DAY, February 22, birthday of both Lord Baden-Powell, founder of the Boy Scout movement, and Lady Olave Baden-Powell, his wife and the First World Chief Guide. World Thinking Day, formerly Thinking Day, is celebrated annually on February 22 by all Scouts & Girl Guides around wold..

Vision : Write a supporting statement of up to 50 words explaining your 'What if…?'

Materials: Internet access, images saved on your computer/pen drive or flashcards.

Level : All levels (cub/Scout/ Rover/ Girl Guide/ wood badge leader or Akela)

Finally, we got the chance to show what scouts can do the world....doodle will 'go live' on the Google homepage on February 22.
