2nd National INDABA -Sri Lanka Scouts

2nd National INDABA, Organized by Sri Lanka Scout Association was held from 11-13th September 2015 at the Lee Dassanayake Scout Training Center-Mirigama Sri Lanka. The INDABA 2015 theme was “Towards 20/Twenty” 

 

An Indaba is a Gathering of Scouters/ Adults in Scouting, its dedicated for them to experience the Scouting Spirit in diversity through an enjoyable manner, of course it is a nice platform to bring some issues but the fact is solutions are coming thorough the FUN Mood, someone can come with the sack of crisis but those will be answered with Smiles, an indeed it is a get together with old and new comrades, a fantastic opportunity to meet with old buddy’s and make new ones.

 

Apart from that all its creating a nice atmosphere to make a celebration with each other about their tremendous volunteering commitments throughout the year & the Indaba will allowing them to relax and unwind in a fun, relaxed mood in their style in Scouting.

 

The 2nd National INDABA was attended by 150 Scouters from 22 Districts and popular veteran actor and author Kalasuri Mr. Sathischandra Edirisinghe graced the opening ceremony as the Chief Guest. (Mr. "Satis", as he is popularly known possesses a high-profile-personality - 'high' in a whole series of senses. He is quite tall in physique. He stands ramrod - straight. He is very much 'visible' in various meetings and gatherings. In an average crowd his presence is prominent. Among activists for social, religious and cultural causes, he is in the forefront.)
