National Scout Jamboree 2024 will be held in Trincomalee district showcasing the beauty of Sri Lanka
The 10th National Scout Jamboree will be held in Trincomalee,, Sri Lanka in 2024. A Jamboree is a gathering, i.e. a Get Together of Scouts, who are in the spirit of brotherhood, friendship and fellowship and are participating in a numerous activities of skills, fun and entertainment. Jamborees are held at various levels: The World Jamboree (Scouts from all over the world participate and held once in 4 years), Regional Jamborees (In the Regions of the World Organization of the Scout Movement from time to time as decided by the Organizers), National Jamborees (organized by respective countries) and District Jamborees (or Rallies organized by a District in a country).
Since the introduction of Scouting in Sri Lanka 1912, about 9 National Jamborees and a Centenary Jamboree were held. Since 1998, the Sri Lanka Scout Association (SLSA) decided that National Jamborees should be held in every 4 years, although there have been long gaps previously in organizing such jamborees.

3:30 pm - Contingent Meetings (Contingent Level) Individual contingents gather to discuss specific matters and activities.
4:00 pm - Welcome and Rehearsal of Opening Ceremony Participants rehearse for the opening ceremony and receive instructions for open-air display, Sub Campfires, and cultural shows.
6:00 pm - Flags Down Lowering of flags marks the end of the day's activities.

9.30 am. Jamboree Activities/Skills Participate in various Jamboree activities and skills development. Cub Scouts’ Programme Engage in special Cub Scouts’ programs and activities.
12.30 pm. Lunch Enjoy a delicious lunch to recharge for the afternoon.
2.00 pm. Jamboree Activities/Skills Continue with Jamboree activities and skills development.
5.00 pm. Jamboree Kite Festival (by Host District) Participate in the colorful Jamboree Kite Festival organized by the Host District.

4S7RS at 10th National Scout Jamboree
The 10th National Scout Jamboree in Trincomalee, Sri Lanka, is not just
an ordinary event—it’s a gathering of scouts from across the globe,
creating a vibrant atmosphere of adventure. And right at the heart of
this extraordinary event is the 4S7RS special event station, organized
by the Radio Society of Sri Lanka (RSSL).
Special Event Station 4S7RS: At the heart of the jamboree grounds, the 4S7RS station stands tall, welcoming scouts from near and far. From February 20th to 25th, this special event station has been buzzing with activity, with over 4000 scouts—both local and DX (international)—visiting so far (as of 23-02-2024).
Team: Leading the charge at the 4S7RS station is none other than Jaliya 4S7JL, supported by a dedicated team including Singhe 4S6LEO, Mithsukha 4S6MKM, Nalantha 4S6NAX, Priyankara 4S5PRI, Kim 4S5KMG, Shamim 4S6SCO, Nalin 4S6CNH, SWL Ranil, and SWL Yohan. Together, they’re ensuring that every visitor has an unforgettable experience at the station.
